Gator Swim Team places 9th out of 28 teams at Districts

On Friday, Laurel swimmers took to the pool to compete against the best at the OHSAA Northeast District Swim Meet.  With 28 teams scoring points in the meet, the Laurel team finished 9th overall. One of the most remarkable moments came when senior Rachel Onders and freshman Hannah Patacca actually tied in the 500 Free, sending them both to the OHSAA State Meet in Canton.  Both girls had outstanding swims yesterday with Rachel finishing 13th and Hannah finishing 12th (with another personal best time), qualifying both girls to swim one more time.  Good luck Rachel and Hannah - we will be cheering for you!
