Middle School students explore three dimensional art by building clay forms, designing wind-driven whirligigs, creating origami and figure sculpture as solutions to visual problems. The materials and techniques of wood, clay, folded paper, paper mache and fabric are used in three dimensional work through out the middle school curriculum. | |
| 3D art in the Upper School emphasizes continued skill building to understand form in three dimensions. Materials including clay, wood, fabric and found and recycled items are used to create both functional and non-functional objects. Utilizing relevant vocabulary, students are encouraged to observe their work and make critical visual decisions. |
