Community-Based Programming

Our mission: To sponsor programming opportunities in the areas of life-long fitness, wellness and environmental education for Laurel School families, students, faculty, alumnae, and neighboring communities surrounding the campuses in Shaker Heights and Geauga County.

  • Get with the program!  From Tot Gymnastics to Senior Mobility, Laurel offers several regular wellness classes meeting twice per week.
  • Feeling adventurous?  Sign up for the Haunted Night Hike, an outing to a climbing gym, or a day of snowshoeing and cross-country skiing at Butler.
  • Laurel's Butler Campus and outdoor music concerts are a perfect fit!  The Sizzlin' Summer Sunday Concert Series offers family-friendly entertainment for all. Three concerts: Heart and Soul (June), Mojo: The Generations Big Band (July), and Bill Staines (August).
  • Kids' Night Out is a night out for boys and girls, age 4-11. Register your child for an evening of fun and games, crafts and more! Event dates are December 10, 2011, February 25, 2012 and May 19, 2012.
  • Summer at Laurel presents Winter at Laurel, a fun and engaging program of environmentally-based activities offered for girls and boys as a day camp during winter break.  Look for information Fall 2012.
