Lyman Circle Campus, Shaker Heights
Laurel School’s 11-acre Lyman Circle Campus in Shaker Heights is home to an impressive brick Tudor revival building featuring over 180,000 square feet of space, which is fully networked, and predominantly wireless. The Lyman Circle property was purchased from the Van Sweringens who, in the 1920’s, were developing Shaker Heights into a spectacular suburban community.Distinctive features of our Lyman Circle Campus include two libraries, a learning resource center and peer tutoring center, five science labs and a greenhouse, and separate computer labs for Primary, Middle and Upper Schools.
The arts flourish in a dance studio, a newly renovated 390-seat Chapel performance space, a wood-working shop, three art studios and a ceramics studio, a digital art lab and a photography darkroom, two music rooms and several musician’s practice rooms, and a 4,300 square foot multipurpose room.
Athletes at Lyman Circle enjoy two gymnasiums and a fitness room, two outdoor playing fields, three tennis courts, several lovely courtyards and gardens, and a gorgeous new playground based on the theme of metamorphosis.
