Equity and Inclusion at Laurel School

Introducing “Defining Womanhood:” a film series sponsored by Equity and Inclusion at Laurel School. Join us in the Chapel for thought-provoking films, open conversations, and popcorn, of course! The upcoming themes and dates are:

  • Health and Wellness: Outside In
    Friday, April 11, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.
    Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 3:00 p.m.

    Outside In, a documentary that chronicles one woman¡¦s journey from her diagnosis with advanced ovarian cancer to her 10 year exploration of what it means to live from her complex standpoint of doctor turned patient. Filmed over nine years, drawing from 170 hours of footage, film clips, home movies, still photos, artwork, and clippings, Outside In depicts a story guided by the wisdom of Henry David Thoreau: "You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment."    http://outsideinthefilm.com/
